Preparing for take off....

We had the rare opportunity this past weekend to take some of our kids on a helicopter ride in Pontiac MI. It was a great experience. I could tell on the van ride there that the kids were nervous, they were quiet and when we asked them they didn't hide the fact. Most of them had never flown on an airplane before, let alone a helicopter! It was an exciting experience. I was able to ride with two of my girls (and also our teen staff!)...I could tell the experience was pretty amazing for them! I found it pretty cool too!
Wycliffe was sponsering the day, so our kids were also able to hear about Bible translations and how few people in the world actually have the Bible translated in their own language. I was shocked hearing the numbers! I think it was a good eye opener to all of us just how blessed we are to have God's Word so readily avaible and also to help us pray for those who are out there reaching those who don't have it!
