Ironic how when I have the most to write about, I have the least amount of time to sit down and write it! I also have tons of pictures I would love to share...and stories. I am sitting here amazed that we just finished week 4 of day camp. And I have hardly posted anything!
We are having a great summer. As always, seeing God's provision, leading and blessings here. It's been a whole new experience directing daycamp, I find that I can see how everything is running as a whole as oppose to just noticing my class of kids. One thing I love to watch is how still, after four weeks, the staff and kids are having fun together.
We have
been blessed by some visitors over the last few weeks. Last week, my brother brought his youth group from Grand Rapids. They had 15 teens and 5 adult leaders. Even though it was a crazy week and very busy, it was worth it to see how the teens reacted to being in an environment totally different than their own. I saw that God was working in their lives through out the week and they learned and grew a lot. Plus, our kids loved it, and became slightly spoiled getting so much attention! Our staff has been very intentional about talking to the kids throughout the day about the Bible lesson they heard in the morning. One morning, I sat and listened to Mr Alex talking to his class during education time. They were discussing the Bible lesson, which was about Esther. Questions came up like "If God can give us strength to do what is right, why do people still do wrong things?" we've also heard questions pertaining to the kids grasping to understand who Jesus is...and how He was both God and man.
Please pray for us as we enter into our last two weeks. Pray that we will make the most of every opportunity and that God would change lives for Him!!!
